@UHBlackhawk and
@Love4monsters.
I assume now that the shoe is on the other foot you support UCMJ'ing/suspending most of the West Point football team?
Please quote my message where I wrote that the Air Force player should be suspended and/or face UCMJ action. I can’t quite find it. I did state my college coach probably would have suspended me for doing such a thing, but that it was up to the Air Force coach to handle.
Same with this case. I saw the West Point players run over to the Navy side and was disappointed. I did not observe the other actions. It’s for Coach Monken to handle and hopefully he will deal with it in an appropriate manner if any action is warranted.
Many (not all) Navy fans in this instance remind me a whole lot of a certain side of the politics aisle, suddenly concerned about decorum and civility and “class” now that their monopoly on being ugly winners has been broken.
One of the great subtexts of this whole Army-Navy game was Navy’s beloved son (who coincidentally avoided active duty so he could fill a practice roster slot in the NFL) Keenan Reynolds talking consistent trash on Twitter about the Army team and how Navy would “expose” them.
Navy fans would do well to remember that you have to take it as well as you dish it out, and a large and vocal members of y’all happily mocked the Army football program and its players in some pretty classless ways for 14 years. So I’ll have to ask Navy fans to forgive my inability to share in the ever-so-recent pearl clutching and tsk-tsking about how to be “classy.”
