Well, no one's made this yet. Being how I am so dedicated to public service I have gone through the hard work of opening this thread. I have already emailed admissions updating them of this incredibly important milestone.

Jokes aside (not for long), I just had my last nomination interview this morning and it's officially just one last wait. Having done this twice before, for the first timers applying to the Academy, do not let it dominate your life. I have had a wonderful time in AFROTC and done very well academically as an engineer, in my military training halfway through my time as a Cadet Third Class, and in making bonds so close to my wingmen I didn't previously know were possible. I will be close with these cadets for the rest of my life. There are worlds of opportunities out there in all three commissioning programs- you get out of it what you put in.

While I feel that the Academy is where I belong, and that I am an odd enough animal that I belong in a zoo for four years, I know that if this decision is made permanently for me, I will be in great company and still have a chance to serve my country in the world's greatest Air Force.

For those who don't recall, this thread is for general comments/questions/concerns so the appointment thread or the forum do not get clogged with simple questions that can be quickly answered in a conversation rather than starting a new thread. Feel free to put anything relevant in here.

Third time's the charm. Beat Army. Sink Navy. Almost Friday.

Thanks for making this thread! I appear to be missing something, what's on Friday?
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

I was wondering the same thing and found this:

Almost Friday Memes About Being Excited

Unsurprisingly, a lot of people post celebratory “it's almost Friday” memes that show just how excited they are, and I'm here for it. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and it makes me realize that yeah, I think I'm going to make it through the week.Mar 10, 2022

AND

“Students and working folks alike can relate to celebrating every Friday. After all, Friday heralds the start of a wonderful and much-awaited weekend.

After a week of toiling hard at work or studying for exams, the feel of Friday is like reaching the finish line. Friday night is also the best time to unwind with friends who similarly need a refresher. Delicious food, a cold drink, and the company of good friends — no wonder we look forward to this day.”

I think I just received a nomination from my MOC, as in my portal, there is a green checkmark with the Congressional district saying "Nomination Received." All that is left is my DODMERB clearance.

I received a letter in the mail congratulating me on my nomination from my MoC to USAFA. However, I also have a service related nomination. Will the MoC nomination show up as a separate check mark in my portal, or because I already have one does it not show up?

Each nomination will appear as a checkmark

I'm 20 and am a C/4C in AFROTC, and still would love to go to USAFA, perhaps not this year but next for C/O' 28, a lot of people call me nuts but, I feel the same way as you.

People call me nuts all the time. Not related to this at all
