USAFA Waiting Thread C/O 2027

When you say TWE’s, does this mean the actual mailing or a portal change? Right now my DS’s portal is still the same, 100% complete and all check marks.
Also, is Auburn a possibility for you (Wareagle24)? Great school…
The portal will change to “Your Decision is Ready” with a yellow envelope- replacing the button which originally said “Review Your Application”. Sadly, I received a TWE today.

Does anyone know what my portal will look like if I don't receive an appointment?
It will have a gold envelope that says your decision is ready, where it once had review application. When you open the envelope instead of 100% complete it will have view your decision. Unfortunately, both TWE and appointments arrive the exact same way and you won't know what it is until you open the envelope and read your letter.

The Navy sunk my DS’s battleship today. That’s really okay with him because he doesn’t want to get stuck on a boat. The kid wants to fly—for Air Force, of course! So here’s hoping for some good news in the next week or so!!!

We’re not giving up. We didn’t give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, and we are not giving up because we got a lousy TWE from the Navy.

Who is with me? Blahahahahahahhahah!!!!

Sorry that happened. Keep your chin up. Something better is coming your way.

Navy sunk mine's too, but the interesting is - she didn't get a nomination to USNA, but their admissions kept asking her for more info and complete the application, then TWE today. 🤷‍♀️

I'm sorry to hear that. What's your Plan B?

For those that got their decision already, Did you receive an email saying your portal had changed or did it just change and you had to go into your portal?

“Stuck on a boat” is the bliss of salt air, endless vistas of rolling waves, night velvet skies studded with unfamiliar constellations and no light pollution for a few thousand miles, and the joy of working hard as a team at sea. It’s not everyone’s cup of salt water. It’s “a wild call and clear call that may not be denied.”

Sea-Fever

BY JOHN MASEFIELD
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.
