USCGA 2020 appointments

Oh my gosh! I am sure this wait for my son's USCGA EA decision letter has prevented me from going full-gear with my annual Christmas prep routines. He is just so anxious as well, but is very positive about the whole thing. Hopefully, the news due to arrive may be good news.

Has anyone gotten any updates yet today?
Admissions Committee is in session, plus updates are normally not released until 1700 EDT/EST since we try to avoid releasing them when applicants are in school, so there won't be any updates until later this afternoon or early evening.

Thank you for the info. Will the updates (whatever it may be) be on the applicant's portal/checklist page on the same day?

Yes, once decision letters are published the applicants should immediately be able to view them on their application homepage which is accessible by logging in directly or via the Bear's Den.

Agree with Matthew... Be thankful for Objee's willingness to post and provide continual updates. No other admissions folks at any SA provide direct info like that. USCGA has said by the 24th... It isn't the 24th.

OK peeps, somebody should hear something by the end of the day! Has any parent ever called Admissions to say Hi and get a feel for the status?

What do you know? Are you suggesting that we call admissions?

I know nothing since DD doesn't allow me on her portal! So I sit and wait patiently....counting down to 1700! I don't think I was ever this nervous about my college admissions!

Please don't call admissions. USCGA does the best job of any SA I have seen on publishing info and informing candidates. Objee is an invaluable asset on this site and will post if something changes or if he recommends someone to call. Calling admissions just slows things down from folks working to get letters out the door and other work. They will only give the party line. Also, I highly recommend that for any phone calls to liaisons or admissions needs to be coming from the applicant, not a parent. They need to own this process through and through.
