Just got a no as well. I have a 33 ACT, 4.0 GPA with college courses including calculus, 240 fitness score, Cadet Commander of CAP squadron, Aviation experience including Solo Wings, Search and Rescue, Community service, National Honors Society, and the interview went well.

It's too bad there there are only around 55 slots available for the largest category of applicants.

Off to a different school with AFROTC scholarship now, maybe Ill transfer into the Coast Guard one day.

You will succeed! AFROTC will be awesome!

It's a no for my DD as well. Considering today is the decision date we expected this. She was accepted to NAPS through the Navy and just heard she got a 4yr scholarship from AROTC to her number one school. Decision time. Good luck to you all!

My stepson is 2nd class at the Naval Academy. He was prior enlisted at the nuke school. NAPS is a great opportunity. He loves it there. CGA was a better fit for my daughter. Still waiting to hear, she’s at work.

Don't worry all, life works out for the most part. I wanted to be a Secret Service Agent, a State Trooper, and a Special Weapons Courier (Nuclear Weapons) and ended up being a Network Security Engineering Manager.

As for my daughter, who is also an EA Deferral, has not received word yet.

Her back up plan is to go to Georgia Military College and then transfer to the Academy. GMC is recognized by the USGA for Transferring Cadets.

And all stay healthy during this unprecendented time in our life time.

Hello all. We did just receive an update on Bears Den for our DS. It’s not what we had hoped for but it’s not also what we expected. He received a waitlist to USCGAS program. I think this is a great program but we still dont know what our DS would decide on. Good luck to all still waiting for a response on Bears Den

Our DS also waitlisted for CGAS. We are happy that it was not a straight no. Time to put the call out to the prayer chains again!! DS was also waitlisted for AIM but wound up not making the cut for what that's worth.
