scoutpilot, I think you are being a bit aggressive on your verbal attack. Yes, I did ask about food, but there is a reason why the official webpages for the academies do post out their respective dining facilities. I was not trying to say that food would be my deciding factor, but rather trying to see what I was going to eat for the next few years. Also, your analogy is a bit flawed in my opinion; supposed I had asked about the salaries coming out of USNA vs USMA respectively, you probably would have also shot down my question like you have here. But you would have failed to give the benefit of the doubt; what if money was an issue to the respective candidate and his/her family? You knew nothing about my background or medical history before you responded to my dining question, yet that did not prevent you from verbally attacking me. Likewise, my concerns with dining is not comparable to that of your analogy; I don't know about you, but when I visit schools, I do visit the cafeteria because if I just cannot eat the food, yes, I do find it hard to spend my next 4 years living there. To me, food is of some significance (again, albeit very small) in deciding my future and because at this point I still have a choice between attending the service academy or going to a civilian school, I see no problem trying to wrestle out as much information as I possibly can from both sides before making my decision.
there is no reason to verbally attack others (calling someone a "sycophant") who are just trying to help me in the best way they can or to gloat ("that's what I thought"). if you have any issue, they should be addressed towards me, and me alone, not to those merely trying to help.
