USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

DD/No LOA/Assume 3Q/SEN Nom & JROTC Nom/NY
Assume 3Q because she is 3Q at USMA, no news there either

4 Year AROTC scholarship, Plan B all set and in the works accepted as a Pre-Med major at a T-20 school in a great ROTC program. DD is very happy with her Plan B she actually calls it her Plan 1A but still patiently waiting for SA results to make a final decision and prepare for her next steps..

I’m glad to know others are in the waiting game too! I believe I’m academically and physically qualified, but I haven’t heard anything about my medical. I had the exam in early January and it’s not checked off in my portal but I’m medically qualified for USAFA so I’m not too worried. Is anyone else waiting for their medical status to be checked off?
did you check the DODMERB site? portal doesn’t really matter as long as it shows qualified in DODMERB

I am not an Insider ...but have been a BGO and been watching the process for almost 20 years. USNA does not have "big drops" like USMA or USAFA , except for a "big drop" of declined letters right after the Admission deadline to those that don't complete their application or are clearly not qualified. (To be honest, I didn't see that this year...both acceptance and declines are trickling in with little rhyme or reason this year). Pure speculation on my part, but I suspect that Noms and Appointments considers each slate as soon as all relevant candidates have been reviewed by the Admissions Board. Some years my candidates hear early, sometime later. All you can do is be patient and worry about what you can control

DS/no LOA/college reapplicant (U. Wisconsin-Madison)/MOC nom/assume 3Q/Mid Sib/CA -- last year he got his "TWE" in the portal in mid April, and that was early in the pandemic, so this could take a while. Just a word of caution as we play the waiting game together! Hang in there, friends.

DS/No LOA/Assume 3Q with MOC nom
Thanks for this thread. It helps to know how many of us are in the same boat. DS is being extremely patient, but it's tough watching the social media sites hearing from friends receiving appointments. As those appointment numbers go up, you can't help thinking that's one less spot for me! Plan B is all set with a four-year NROTC scholarship so that has been a huge plus and relief. He is focused on that and we are staying "up," but he really wants that appointment!

DS/No LOA/believe to be 3Q/ Pres., Sen., Rep.,& JROTC Noms

Accepted to Plan B #1 (waiting to hear about ROTC scholarship). Have applied for housing at Plan C school (A#5) which will become Plan A if Plan A & B do not pan out. DS is happy with Plan C if that is the way things work out. Have not cut any schools/merit scholarships loose from Plan's A, B, C, D, or E at this time until something definitive is known in regards Plan's A & B. DS is handling the waiting just fine but me not so much. 😁

DS/No LOA/3Q (serviced connected nom JROTC). NWL with Sen and Serviced connect nom at USMA but TWE received 3-4-21 (1280 on SAT?). Plan C is 4 year AROTC scholarship with R+B from Michigan Tech University with Civil Engineering as a major. Started applications at all SAs but was concerned that it looks to "wishy-washy" so he only pursued USNA and USMA. Joined this forum very late in the game (November) because neither of us understood the slate/charging process. Unfortunately, when everything was already submitted and done. He is getting excited about Plan C. Good luck, everyone!

I appreciate all on here who have tempered their self-assigned “3Q” assessment with “I think/hope/believe/assume,” because that is realistic. USNA typically will not inform applicants of that final Q, even as medical and physical statuses become clear. Every year, though, there seem to be reports of loose-lipped BGOs.

Good luck to all!

DS/No LOA/ 3Q with Nom/ Congressional/ College re-applicant and was on the waitlist last year. Waiting has been so hard especially this cycle as DS has informed us that if he does not get an appointment he is going enlisted. Either was he will be leaving soon. That nest will be empty for sure. It’s great that he has a goal and is pursuing his dream no matter what.

The USNA Class of 2025 Instagram increased by 200 people over the past few days, total is nearly at 1,000 now
