USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

Well it’s likely that a lot of people are asking the same questions at this time so an answer must be given, i. e. the 15th. There are still two more days until that time so there is a possibility there. Just know that there is a chance that it could be beyond that date that you hear back.
We’ll see what happens. Just because the question is asked I disagree that they have to give a precise date and stick to the 15th. They could consistently say what they are saying to other folks (by end of month, there could be delays, etc.). Some of the confusion may just be in our interpretation.

As a casual bystander this year, I could see all those being valid.

Most could hear by 15th. Especially if waitlist drop was today. In previous years the main TWE drop came a couple days later.

With medical potentially being delayed, there could be many slates still unresolved. Maybe there are 2 competitive candidates for those slates that wouldn't necessarily be competitive nationally, and USNA is having to wait for resolution and is prepared for those decisions to run till end of Month or later. .Just my guess...
That makes sense. Full resolution of wait list and medicals, etc. won’t be by the 15th.

Same here. Although my son is starting to say he just wants to know already! They also told my husband that candidates receive an email at the same time as the portal update. That’s interesting because I haven’t heard people here saying that.
My DS did experience the email and portal update at the same time. He had just checked his email and portal on a Friday after school, then checked them both again before heading to friends for dinner and THERE IT WAS! To bad we didn’t have a video camera going because I am sure we looked like a bunch of crazy fools that had just won the billion dollar lottery!!! 🤣

And as a side note: my DS’s communication with his BGO, USNA Admissions, DoDMERB, etc. has been a smooth sailing ⛵️ process.

I am hoping a decision whether a yes or no so that I can move on with life and tend to plan A-. I have mentally prepared for plan A-, just need closure to this.
I love that you're calling it "A-" rather than Plan B. I think that for most of the candidates, the options that are NOT USNA don't suck. Lots of great options to choose from. Might not be the preferred choice, but all great options to choose from regardless.

This may not be the news everyone wants to hear, but I would expect USNA to inform most candidates by April 15th or around that time. On the admissions website, advice for applicants sheet provided to us by admissions, and the information given to us by official academy representatives, April 15th has been a date mentioned over and over again. You may not receive the news that you want to hear, but the Naval Academy is not going to wait until May or June to reject thousands of candidates. The amount of effort and coordination required for this process is incomparable to any other institution. The fact they can even inform candidates of a decision in February, March, and even April is an impressive feat.

As far as I know the commissioning source is USNA. NROTC would be a separate waiver from even USNA. I am guessing USMMA is probably separate. Mr. Mullen or someone who applied to both can probably chime in.
Those are the two my DS applied for. That why I was wondering.

Is there any chance there will be any acceptances or just a huge wave of TWEs??
If I had to guess and from last years cycles... there will be more TWEs then BFEs at this point. With the change in portals and pushed back cut off date for applying, I think things have been slower this year. Even with that, the impending 4/15 date and anxiousness is an annual thread. There will also be some wait lists given out too.

Just curious, but has anyone received any rejections yet or any TWEs? Or maybe they'll give all of rejection decisions at the same time? who knows

Out of all the candidates with nominations, completed applications, and medical clearance, only SOME that aren't offered appointments by April 15th will be put on the National Wait List, and SOME will get TWE's? Is that correct?

I have only seen 1 maybe 2 people post that they weren't being offered an appointment. I am pretty sure that most people are willing to share the good news rather than the bad/sad news. Those that I've seen post that they didn't get the appointment seem to be the ones who have been on this forum for a good while and were pretty engaged with members. I dunno - I sort of feel like those that are active here build bonds and we're all genuinely rooting for each other (unless you're in the same district..... KIDDING.... sort of). We're all invested here and want to know the outcomes.
