USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

I know this has already been said several times but I want to reiterate that the race is not over until you ACTUALLY see a TWE on your portal! I am in the same boat as a few of y'all: I haven't heard anything back from USNA and I don't have an LOA or a waitlist offer. What I do know is that if you haven't received a decision yet, you are still in the game! Keep that in mind as you finish out the wait this month and/or next month!

Trying hard to keep my head up! This has been such a long, process for all of us. Its as if my portals for both the USAFA and USNA have just had crickets since Feb 4 and Feb 24, respectfully. USNA hasn't requested my medical and I'm assuming I'll need a waiver for shoulder surgery (2019) and ACL repair (2020)...no waitlist email today and no LOA...

Are MoCs still calling or should we just be looking at our portals exclusively at this point and not expect a call?

Decision should've already been made today, a few hours back from now !?
The live chat today at noon said everyone will be notified by April 15. I completed my CFA late in Feb due to a torn ACL and my application had not yet been reviewed by the board, as of yesterday so I think they are still making decisions?

Sorry to hear, similar situation: USMA granted waiver but no decision yet (or not seeing it yet), USNA did not request medical, so door is closing there.

Don't hang your heads! And even if you do get a TWE, keep your eyes on the prize! Becoming a commissioned officer! Those who want that enough will get there with a different route! Once this endless cycle is FINALLY over, maybe there is a way to create a new forum category "TWE! But look what I am doing now!" where you can post regular updates on the alternate path you are taking and the cool stuff you are doing to get to where you want to go! This is not the end of the road!

I am pulling for you guys. Just a word of caution, even if you are appointed and attend the academy, there are still things that can derail you or make the journey difficult and filled with uncertainties.

Our DS plebe is dealing with some stuff now that will be challenging and getting in isn’t the end of the struggles and unknowns.
If you don’t make it this cycle and want it, improve and reapply.

If you get the BFE, congrats and know that is rare air- but that the feelings you’ve had going through this will continue through this journey. Things out of your control will linger and how you handle that will be key.
If you have gotten this far you have what it takes, there just aren’t enough spots for those who are qualified. Don’t hang your heads. Celebrate that.

Just over here 👀 ..... looking for some good news from the folks still waiting! Good luck 🍀 to you all! Thank you for being on this roller coaster of a journey with me! Thankfully DS is realistic @ this point - still hopeful but a realist... I think looking forward to moving on either way 😊....

I appreciate the well wishes and positivity by the members of this forum. I am feeling sad today as my DD is a college reapplicant still waiting to hear some good news. USNA is her dream school. Last year she made it to the waitlist with one nom, immediately said she was reapplying, and was encouraged to do so by her USNA admissions counselor. She did, and in my opinion, only improved her application. She is NROTC, has 3 noms this year, made the dean’s list with a fully loaded plebe-like schedule, yet here we wait...crickets....application under review. With only one day left the outlook is bleak. How does one go from the waitlist last year to rejection this year WITH an improved application?

If you are waiting on a waiver for medical, does anything show up in the CIS portal. DS shows it blank, like it hasn't been received at all, but Mr. Mullen staff confirmed that their end is done and sent to USNA for waiver decision.

Maybe jump on the admissions live chat and ask USNA to confirm that they have everything they need for BUMED to render a decision?

DD is in same boat. Has an LOA but no medical is showing. She needs a waiver. We called our BGO. He was able to confirm that she is in the USNA system so maybe try your BGO for reassurance.
