USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

If you are waiting on a waiver for medical, does anything show up in the CIS portal. DS shows it blank, like it hasn't been received at all, but Mr. Mullen staff confirmed that their end is done and sent to USNA for waiver decision.
I just submitted my AMI for a waiver last night. Hoping for a quick decision, but it will probably be a few weeks. Try contacting the medical admissions team at USNA to confirm that they have it.

I appreciate the well wishes and positivity by the members of this forum. I am feeling sad today as my DD is a college reapplicant still waiting to hear some good news. USNA is her dream school. Last year she made it to the waitlist with one nom, immediately said she was reapplying, and was encouraged to do so by her USNA admissions counselor. She did, and in my opinion, only improved her application. She is NROTC, has 3 noms this year, made the dean’s list with a fully loaded plebe-like schedule, yet here we wait...crickets....application under review. With only one day left the outlook is bleak. How does one go from the waitlist last year to rejection this year WITH an improved application?
I am also a college re-applicant and have not heard back yet. I dont know of many who have

Don't despair quite yet - there may still be some hope for your DD. My DS is also an NROTC college reapplicant with an improved application and he just found out late yesterday (4/13) that he has been waitlisted. Just 24 hours ago I was assuming the TWE was all but inevitable - but surprise, surprise. Now it will be more excruciating waiting with no guarantees of a positive outcome (as you well know from last years waitlist experience) - but there's still a glimmer of hope. Cheers.

I understand the frustrations of being an improved re-applicant and not getting the good news from USNA. This year I have been blessed with an opportunity to accept a spot on the wait list, but the last two years proved to be unsuccessful with two rejections. It is frustrating, trust me I know, but you just have to keep moving forward with your life and working on being the best person you can be. For future re-applicants, let it be known that it is not enough to simply take college courses and maybe do NROTC. You have to do so much more than you think, but do not think you are a failure if you do not gain an appointment at the end of the admissions cycle.

Per the NROTC LT at plan A- ....appointments for USNA are still going out and it could be next week as well. Not sure how he knows BUT he did send an email with the information.

I would guess they have finished deciding who is appointed (until declinations after May 1) given the "we have offered" language in the waitlist FAQ, but some just haven't been notified yet...

There are also those who are working through medical waivers who only have conditional appointments. Those may not have a decision date of May 1st once the waiver is granted and an official appointment is made.

My DS got his waiver granted yesterday. I sounds like you might be on the old website. The new has colored boxes with checks in them for what is complete and missing. My DS went from red X to green Check yesterday. At DoDmerbs showed Waiver Granted.

I know this has already been said several times but I want to reiterate that the race is not over until you ACTUALLY see a TWE on your portal! I am in the same boat as a few of y'all: I haven't heard anything back from USNA and I don't have an LOA or a waitlist offer. What I do know is that if you haven't received a decision yet, you are still in the game! Keep that in mind as you finish out the wait this month and/or next month!
You will do well wherever you land! I love your leadership even on a forum thread. Wishing you all the best!

My DS got a call on 4/12 from the MOC that nominated him to let him know that he was accepted to the Naval Academy, so I think it is up the the MOC, but yes some still are.
Our nominating MOC is no longer in office. How does that work?

Receiving a TWE does dot define who you are. You are strong and honorable for wanting this so badly. You will achieve great success on your military journey to becoming an Officer. Everyone's path is different. Applicants of the SA's are to be held with high regard, and utmost honor. You have character and love for your country. Not everyone can even come close to making this type of journey and commitment. As I write this, I am also waiting for the USNA and USAFA. It has been difficult, but the longer I wait the more it gives me desire to achieve what I ultimately want. Now is the time to be the person who reaches higher, looks farther and goes beyond a TWE. I wish you all success in any path you take. Know you are not alone! Stay tough and Let's GO get it! In the next few years we will be standing next to one another, serving our country, not caring who came from a SA. The only thing that matters is strength to achieve the missions goal, and the love of country.

With the exception of not being on last year's USNA waitlist (though he did make last year's USCGA waitlist) and 2 vs. 3. noms this year, you just described my DS. He followed all of the advice in the reapplicant sticky thread, and that's the best he could do.

Some MOCs call, some don’t. Either way you’ll receive portal and/or email notification. Just keeping checking those. We also have an MOC change. Last I checked the new MOC was still considering how to handle this year’s notifications.

I am also a college re-app who got rejected last year. I did Army ROTC at my college cause i was under scholarship and only improved my packet in every aspect. Last week i heard back that i got an offer of appointment. Don’t loose hope! You all got this!

Trying not to beat a dead horse here, but if we haven’t heard at this point, probably means our chances are slim of getting good news tomorrow?
