My DS received a call from his MOC on 4/12 also. He is still waiting for the portal to show the Appointment. Has your DS received the notification in his portal yet?
 
My DS’s portal doesn’t even show that the application has been reviewed yet. He is incredibly frustrated at least he has an appointment to USCGA

That is AMAZING! Congrats to your DS. My DS went from EA to RA to no thank you with the USCGA on 4/1. It was an emotional roller coaster for sure. Still holding out hope for USNA and USAFA, but man its fading fast...
 
So I understand the "it's not over till you get the TWE" concept, but does anyone really know if an appointment is a possibility with there only being one day left till the appointments are to be offered? We still show under waiver review on DoDMERB, nothing new in the portal, second portal still says application is under review. Hopes are fading.....

Hang on...we will have answers in about 24hrs but I will say chances of appointment between now and then are slim.

Suggest reviewing the "Double Portal" thread and trying that. It will have a more accurate update in terms of "under review" than the main portal, at least that was the case for my DS. His regular portal still shows "Application Submitted" but the second one shows under review. I would guess ALL applications are under review at this point.
 
Well.....things are moving. Unfortunately for DS not in the direction he hoped, his journey has ended. No waitlist, no appointment. He received an email notifying him. He has a solid alternate plan so he will pursue that. Still holding out hope for those waiting. Remember, a no DOES NOT define you. Many of the most successful leaders were told no...multiple times.

I think you can accept the waitlist position and the USMMA position. A classmate of my current Mid had same thing...was waitlisted, accepted a spot at another service academy and then offered a USNA spot roughly 3 weeks before I-Day. A lot of scrambling to finish the PTR packet but got it done.
 
It has been a roller coaster going through this process. I want to thank everyone for the support, knowledge and advice. My twin DS's are still waiting to hear from USNA, NROTC and are holding out hope although I am losing it quickly. However they have received 3 yr AD scholarships for AROTC at their #1 and #2 schools who are offering to pick up their freshman year making it a 4 yr scholarship. I have to believe they will end up where they are supposed to be and 4 yrs from now will be officers which is their dream come true..... even if they took a different path to get there.

I hope you all receive good news but know that some will have to follow plan B or C.... and that is ok, I wish everyone the best on whichever path you end up on.
