USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

Well....I started this thread and it has been fun waiting with you all. DS just got the dreaded TWE emai as well! But, at almost the same time he received official notification that he has received the NROTC scholarship!!! Crazy timing...now he has a decision to make. AFROTC at ECU or NROTC at UNC or NC State?
Congrats!! Great options!!

Your DS has some very good options, and a tough decision to make. Let us know what he decides.

I have a question for the general forum. At what exact time did you receive your TWE via email (please adjust for ET)? I am trying to figure out if the TWEs were sent in one massive wave at the same time, or if people are receiving them as time progresses and throughout the day.

TWE here too. My son is going to accept his offer to USMMA. I’m so very happy for and proud of him.

It’s been a long and difficult road, applying to four service academies, rotc and civilian colleges, needing a medical waiver, initially failing fitness tests and body weight parameters, being granted three nominations and then being told one was a mistake, etc.

He battled through every obstacle, as so many of you have. Congratulations on sticking with it and on your incredible alternate plans! Everyone should be proud of their own tremendous effort.

Thank you to all of the wise and wonderful SAF contributors who helped us along and kept us sane (or did their best to). ❤️

Same!! I haven’t gotten one and it’s freaking me out... on the phone with bad reception refreshing over and over... can anyone else tell what time they were received?

DITTO here ... DS just received a USNA TWE as well. So it looks like now it's down to a USAFA decision which I hope comes soon. Not all is lost, however --received his plan "B" this morning: AFROTC Type 7 so the University of Florida Aerospace Engineering it might be. And yes I enjoyed waiting with all of you as well!

Thank you everyone for all the knowledge and support! NROTC scholarship plan A- Aerospace Engineering..
If I remember correctly, is that at UIUC? If so, our sons will eventually know each other! DS hasn’t heard back from NROTC - but he’ll join as a programmer if needed.....

Same as earlier person posted 2:03 ET....looks like you may still be in the running if you didn't get one! Good Luck!

Based off of last year there were periodic TWE waves throughout the day

My DS is still at school so presumably has been paying attention in class and not checking emails. 🙂 That means I’m still waiting, and with less patience than he has. Whatever he hears, I know that this process has been an amazing journey of growth and maturation for him. I’m thankful that I found this forum, even though I was rather late to the party, and for the support and encouragement of all who are here. Wishing the best of luck to all the candidates as they take their next steps, whatever they may be. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments to get to this point!
