USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

This thread has been too quiet lately. Looking at last year's threads, a culling of the Wait List took place around June 4th where some received TWE's and a few were allowed to remain waiting.

My son was wait listed April 13th. He has told people when asked "if a miracle happens" he may get in. He has embraced his alternate alternate plans and those plans keep moving forward. He will attend freshman orientation and register for classes the week after his h.s. graduation next month. He was accepted into the ROTC program at university and will attend ROTC New Student Orientation a week before classes begin. He smiles and says thank you when people congratulate him on his college acceptance and scholarships. He will gladly lose his deposits and decline/return scholarships if he gets The Call. His ultimate goal is to commission so he is still on task no matter how things turn out. The path he will follow in his journey to commission is still yet to be determined. I am really not that fond of cliff hangers myself though. 😬

Right there with you with my DD! Waitlisted on April 13. Her portal changed one week ago to show waiver is granted! So, she's hoping to hear good news but no guarantee right? HS Graduation is this weekend, solid plan B & C options but she hasn't determined which alternate plan will win... Waiting continues...

ok, do you know if they will send out another wave of emails asking if you want to stay on the waitlist?
Looking through last year's postings around June 4th many of those waitlisted received TWE's by email and a few posted around June 6th they were asked to remain on the waitlist by email. At some point they will make a final decision. As to actually when they do so this year, only admissions knows.

Agreed

DD answered blocked number on Friday. She was glad she did when Senator says "are you ready for best call of your life?" She has had LOA and been in waiver purgatory for a couple of months. As soon as she got of the phone she checked DODMERB and saw her waiver was granted for USNA. Roller coaster ride is a good description!

DD got call Friday 6/5. Her USNA portal had decision ready envelope waiting for her Monday morning 6/7 when she checked it. She also got email Monday morning saying she had until 6/11 to accept or decline. She accepted by email when she got home Monday evening.

Son received email today from BGO that sounded like son had received a TWE but son has heard nothing from USNA since April's email confirmation of accepting wait list status.
