USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

They are all Midshipmen (mids)

Plebes are "freshmen" 4th class
Youngsters are "sophomores" 3rd class
I'm actually not sure about juniors 2nd class
Firsties are "seniors" 1st class

I am sure someone will jump in with 3rd class or you can check the acronym list
Juniors, are simply ’second class’, or 2/C. At least now. Might have had a different dame back in the day?

Has anyone been prompted to change their portal login recently? I went to check my portal this morning and had to change my password before I could get in. I thought it might be a good sign, but I'm still sitting at CPR

About a month ago, my DD was prompted to change her pw. Still stilling at CPR as well. Probably just a system prompt.

When I qualified for my first Boston marathon, and registered for the race, I ordered the official race jacket with the logo and all that.

I wore it a few days before the race to work, and someone commented on it at lunch that it hadn't taken place yet.

That year (2007) was nearly cancelled due to horrible weather, and I had one of my worst races ever, walking the last 6 miles after being on a 3:05 - 3:10 pace through the Newton hills after Wellsley.

Lesson learned. Don't count your chickens before they hatch!! :p

As a fellow runner, rule #1 is never wear the shirt before you finish the race!! Even more important than nothing new on race day. 😂

Yes. A few weeks ago. But still CPR for my DD.

I had to do the same as well. It was after receiving my appointment so I don't think there's any correlation.

Not that it's a huge deal, but I'm just curious. Is there any way I could check the date of when I received my appointment to USNA? I only found out through receiving the certificate via postal mail (which is obviously going to be after my kit was decided), and there's no decision letter in my portal.

I would call and ask admissions. Since it isn’t a huge deal, I would wait until after April 15.
