I checked and mine just says “Competitive” does that mean I have a PNom?Damn, unfortunately it seems like your district does do principal nominations. Hopefully you still receive an appointment!

No, it means that your Moc did not rank the slate. USNA will pick the winner of the slate.I checked and mine just says “Competitive” does that mean I have a PNom?
That means your MOC did not rank. This leaves the decision up to USNA.I checked and mine just says “Competitive” does that mean I have a PNom?
And then head over to the Acronyms post. It’s tabbed at the top when you open up to the home pages of these forums. What is a TWE , LOA, and a BFE?

Got a question for yall out there! DS is college reapplicant (ODU NROTC CP); double noms for USNA (MOC and NROTC) and single nom to USMMA. A few straggling things that he’s getting in to finish his USMMA application and going for the overnight visit on March 19. Does USMMA have an interview or anything like a BGO? It’s not on the checklist and he hasn’t been contacted but he wants to make sure he doesn’t miss something needed. I know this is USNA string but yall are very knowledgeable and there is cross over for sure. Thanks for any guidance! Good luck to everyone!!I'm thrilled to admit that I've been accepted into the Merchant Marine Academy just this week. This early acceptance from the USMMA leads me to hope that I'll be hearing from the Naval Academy soon. I can't wait!
Come June 27th, my username might just fully represent my aspirations. Emphasis on the "Naval", not the "Baygel".
Might be a good question for the USMMA forum. There are some very knowledgeable helpers over there.Got a question for yall out there! VA10 Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton! Great office and process both last year and this!!Would you mind sharing which MOC you received a nom from?
I searched for that and things specifically in this topic but got related threads but didn’t find the motherload! Any idea what it’s called or how to find it? Thanks much!Might be a good question for the USMMA forum. There are some very knowledgeable helpers over there.
No LOA, at least not yet. Ours is a college reapplicant, and my impression (not sure if this is accurate) is that they don’t do LOAs for the college kids? But I could be totally wrong on that. The medical follow up went well and all was cleared, though! AND, we learned just today that she was awarded a 3 year ROTC scholarship (she applied for the last round as a Tier 3 major last year, so her chances were slim), so that is some super exciting news to keep our spirits up while we wait!!Did the LOA come USPS or email?
Not appointed but it’s may 1st. USNA follows the a national guideline of making a commitment prior to May 1stFor those of you who have been appointed but are "undecided," what is the date that you have to make a decision?
Congrats, VA-10 is a tough one!VA10 Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton! Great office and process both last year and this!!

I'm curious as to why so many appointees are listing "Will Accept". Why not accept the appoinment so USNA can continue to finish out the class rather than wait until the last minute. I think my DD is the first and only "Decline" on both the USAFA and USNA lists. Not appointed but it’s may 1st. USNA follows the a national guideline of making a commitment prior to May 1st
Keeping options open most likely, awaiting further college acceptances or some to USAFA/USMA.I'm curious as to why so many appointees are listing "Will Accept". LOL in DS's case, he's not on the forums, but I am. At the time I posted he had not accepted but did shortly after. There was never any doubt, I just didn't want to make it official until it was.I'm curious as to why so many appointees are listing "Will Accept". Have a great plan B and try to get excited about it. This has helped my DS tremendously the last few weeks
What District?I know folks are all curious about which District, I want to remind everyone you are under no obligation to disclose that for purposes of remaining anonymous. It’s your call to make, just want to mention that. I know everyone gets nervous when they see someone get an appointment from their district, but a reminder that many can get appointments from same district. Happens all the time. My city covers 3 districts. We generally have 12+ from area with another 3-4 with NAPS/Foundation each year. My previous city would have usually 8-10 from the same slate appointed. Crazy stats there. Hang in there everyone!
