Just starting a thread for anyone who may be in the VMI 2024+3 class!

DS will be doing NROTC and will be on the swim team.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone in August!
 
As someone who is committed to do NROTC at VMI and become part of the class of 2024+3, it would be great if I could connect with some people, especially since I am WAY out of state, and affording the STP has been a challenge. (Still unsure if I would be able to attend)
 
Sweet! There is a parents facebook group that is run by the parent's council "Official VMI Class of 2024+3 Parent Page"

FWIW my son isn't attending STP either. What session of NSI are you attending?
 
Hello. My DS has committed to VMI - NROTC - Marine Option - NSI, Waitlisted for NAPS. Reporting from Southern California - CA-27.
 
My DS is part of this class! He's doing the STP and is AROTC (International Studies). He's also going to be a member in Col. Brodie's marching band. We're looking forward to seeing you all in August!

He doesn't play - he is a swimmer. I spent 20yrs in the music business and did marching band - percussion through school. Really looking forward to hearing the bands at VMI.
 
Just wanted to welcome you all to the VMI family and say that my son is very excited to meet you and welcome you in his own way at Matriculation! ;)

He's a rising 3rd and will be a Cadre Corporal for Echo Co.
