Waiting Game

Based on what I can tell, they are fairly far behind. Appointments trickle in about a week before they go in the portal. (For direct appointments) And we haven't even started that for the big dump yet. Also, they delayed next years application. Another big sign.
Totally agree! This year is way different than past years, so the hearing dates may not be as accurate as before.

Appointment sightings have been awfully quiet as of late. If I had to make my best guess it's because they're getting ready to drop the big wave of direct/re-applicant appointments.

What is 3Q and how do you check if you have it. I’ve completed my application and keep reading about people having it?

If you have passed the CFA and have been qualified by DoDMERB, you are medically and physically qualified. The last one is academically qualified and no one really knows about that one, although using test scores, class rank, GPA, etc. you can take a guess.

I believe that acronym is from either USMA or USNA, and I believe one or both officially inform their candidates if they are 3Q. USAFA does not formally communicate a candidate's standing nor is this a term they use.

Applicants of USNA/USMA can clarify.

I just received an email that USAFA will initiate the waiver process for my DQ, has anyone recieved similar news?

DD had a waiver request initiated for her back mid Dec. We submitted several rounds of AMI and she was finally medically cleared the week before last for USAFA! WOOT!!! No word still from USNA on waiver decision.

If you are deemed medically disqualified by DODMERB, in order to gain an appointment to the SA, you must receive a waiver for whatever condition is disqualifying the candidate.
And the review for a possible waiver is only initiated if the Service Academy requests the review. They will only request a review for a "competitive candidate." Someone that does not qualify in other areas i.e. academics, the waiver review process would not be requested at all. Hope this helps.

Pilot Slot (ENJJPT hopefully) 100%. Building hours right now to help with my PCSM down the road.

Also a top AeroEng School with a great propulsion program as well as hypersonics.
We were an ENJJPT FAMILY and ❤️'d that UPT assignment. We were there for 5 yrs. and gained lifelong friendships with friends from all around the world. Cool fact...Our newly appointed DS (2025) was born during the 9/11 attack and now wants to serve this beautiful country in hope that we NEVER have a repeat of the tragedy that happened on his birthday. BORN TO SERVE!!!

DS just received his “medically qualified” for USAFA from DoDMERB yesterday! Now we wait...

Waiting on AFROTC decision too that was delayed till 30 March.

anyone know when the decisions for those with a presidential “service connected” nom is done? He has a MOC nom too...so who knows which one they will go with if appointed.

If my DoDMERB status says "Under Waiver Review" for USAFA, does it mean that they requested a waiver review? Yes, I did have to send in AMI's, though my portal does say "Complete but medically disqualified"
