Waiting is Torture

I have received many phone calls from unfamiliar numbers over the last few weeks, and now coupled with my family's tendency to receive packages from FedEx doesn't help my nerves as I come home and see packages on the porch.

Keep an eye on that portal and try not to check more than 50-60 times per day. Any more than that is detrimental to mental health. :hammer:

I have been good about not checking it since I know I'll get an email alerting me of the change.

Shoot. I still have to check the portal just to make sure! At what point is it considered addictive?

Just an FYI, our son got the portal change, no email, no call, and then a week later the BFE. So portal checking is a good idea although things might have changed in the past two years! Best wishes for a successful application!

You are not alone in your torture. Hang in there a little while longer. Best wishes to all still waiting.

Same here on the no email notification or call... But we checked the portal each morning.

Just keep yourself busy. That is my daughter's tactic. She checks the portal once a day, her emails when she gets a notification.

Although about now, I really wish we got her driver's license earlier this year because she is running me ragged. Her hands are full of calluses and blood blisters from sculling to calm herself.

Our DS is waiting to hear about a waiver. I just read in the DODMERB FAQ's that they update information every 10 minutes. Haha..not what I needed to read. I'm trying to limit myself to only checking twice a day.

You’re telling me....DS is waiting on word from 3 SA’s, Hold, CPR and NWL.

For me, I was notified by my MOC, then I got the BFE 4 days later, and my portal updated two days later. I never received an email so I'd definitely check the portal!

My DS never received an email OR a notification by MOC, just the updated portal first and then it was the next day when the BFE came.

When I got my letter in the mail from FedEx, the letter said that the portal would update 48 hours after they notified me via email and congressional phone calls.

Congratulations Kicker0420. My DD is still waiting. Everyday she doesn't receive a TWE we breathe a sign of relief. But, seeing all these QNS and BFE's going out is very nerve racking.

Opening the mailbox and not seeing a TWE is a huge relief every day... then again... you have to open the box to look for a BFE. UGH. Paradoxical
