Thank you! I will have her email you tonight with the details.
Any luck with this? Also did some counseling sessions so I assume I will also be put in for a waiver. Let me know!Hi,
I recently was put in for a waiver in early December for USMA regarding counseling sessions - approximately how long does it take for a waiver to be approved/disapproved?
Thank you
Mr Mullen,K2Rider = Once an applicant was determined to NOT meet medical standards (DQ), waiver decisions are provided by the specific program medical waiver authority and the decision for 4 year applicants (ROTC or SAs) come via letter to the applicant from the ROTC program or the SA. For in-college ROTC, the decision comes from the waiver auth to the Commander to the applicant. DoDMERB posts the decision on the website.
Success2B - U would be best served to cut and paste your posting; provide full name and last 4 SSN; and send to me at Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. I can assist U better from there
Any update on her situation and how long it took?My daughter is under waiver review. We have not heard if any supplemental documents are necessary. We are concerned about the 5/1 college decision day, as she will need the waiver granted for her ROTC scholarship to attend her top choice. Mr. Mullen, could she email you to check on the status?
So sorry, I just saw this. We went back and forth with DODMERB providing information, and she did received a waiver in time - about 3 days before the 5/1 decision day deadline. The individuals we worked with at DODMERB and USAF were amazing. However, the process was frustrating in that we would submit information that we thought was sufficient and they would ask for more documentation (most of which did not exist, because she did not have the medical issue), including pharmacy recoreds and an additional medical appointment. We did not expect to have this issue, and in hindsight we should have done the exam much earlier in the process. Exam was mid-March, provided several sets of information in April. Waiver granted end of April. School and USAF scholarship accepted by 5/1, so happy ending.Any update on her situation and how long it took?
