What to wear on I-day?

Standing out like that is probably like volunteering early for a great job. In AF boot camp we had some recruits eagerly raise their hands to volunteer for the "bowling team." They weren't overly happy with cleaning toilet bowls for a job. Fun times....
NWP kids wear Hawaiian shirts. It's tradition soooo we know how fun fun this is going to be lol.

It's always fun to read different experiences on I-day, DS read the forum advice to not draw attention. He's 6'5" 300lbs and decided he was going to draw attention no matter what.... so he wore a red Earth Wind and Fire shirt. He later said the only one who said anything was a Major who told him he liked his shirt. I pointed out there was a news clip that had him getting screamed at on the footprints, he said that was nbd and that you get changed so quick it didn't really matter.

I think you only get extra corrections if you wear something that says "Air Force" or something like "Talk to me Goose". As a parent, I really must reiterate that getting your DS/DD to wear a plain, but brightly colored shirt is the best. My DS wore a bright teal shirt. It made it so much easier to spot him on Webguy

It's a toss up. YOu can get beat no matter what you wear. I'd go for SOME humor only so you insure you have something to "remember" years from now. I had given an "eDodo" t-shirt to an incoming basic many years ago....(I don't think they have eDodo anymore) and she got some interesting "attention" both good and bad.
