When Do Most People Hear Back/People Who Have Been Admitted Scores and Stuff

On the bright side, my DD is extremely grateful that she has been attending the Prep School. This experience has prepared her more than anything else to be a Cadet at USAFA.

Do you have to apply to the prep school specifically? What kind of people do they look for, the people who just barely missed getting direct?
 
My son went to the prep in 2019 now at he is a the Hill. THEY DID NOT have to do the entire application. Just apply for another nomination. NO CFA!!!

No, you cannot apply directly to the USAFA Prep School. Usually you get "prepped" if your application is competitive in all aspects but may be academically at risk. This usually includes cadet candidates who have scored lower on standardized tests, did not have the appropriate college preparatory courses, or who have been out of formal education for awhile. The Prep School provides an opportunity for cadet candidates to hone their study skills in order to be successful as cadets.

Do you have to wait til April before they decide if they will offer you the Prep School option or do some find out before then?
