Best card for travel rewards and with the $550 annual fee waived for military personnel, it's a slam dunk. I pay the annual fee and it's still worth that many times over if you travel a decent amount.

The same is true for the Chase Sapphire Reserve. It's also got a solid rewards program and a bunch of other travel perks. Some may prefer it over the AMEX, or for that matter, in addition to the AMEX.

I have the Sapphire Reserve card. I have to pay for it. DS tells me the AMEX lounges have much better food.

I think the Platinum does have it over the Sapphire when it comes to lounges. Having said that, it's a HUGE bummer that they dumped the Timberline Grille in DIA...they had a great subsidized food deal going on there for a while.

Remember, however, that it is a charge card and not a credit card.
YES!

My advice is to pay the balance every week to avoid an end of month surprise. Very easy in the internet age. Just click a button and it's paid.

Fun fact - the monthly $15 Uber credit can also be used on Uber Eats. Found out about that a couple months ago.
