Class of 2019 Appointment Thread

If you have received an appointment, it will show up on the admission application portal. My son's says "Appointment Offered" under status.
 
Congrats to all who've received appointments! Should the next wave of appointees be announced by now? or tomorrow?
 
Many moc's made the calls on Friday March 13th for the first wave with portal updates coming on the 19th. A long time for a candidate wondering.. Did I hear that right? So once the portal update came we breathed a lot easier in out house. With that being said .. This Friday perhaps some phone calls? Hoping for all those waiting for their appointments! You have done the best you could and now it lies in the hands of others! Watching and praying with you all!

Will MOCs call candidates being appointed from the National Pool? I was under the (possibly misguided) impression that MOCs only called slate winners. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks for posting! The waiting is terrible but this forum has been a Godsend. I have to say how nice it is to read the posts from everyone in this and other related threads. It tells me patriotism is still alive in our country.

The way I understand it is .... slate winners are the appointees selected by the Academy and charged to a particular Member of Congress. The remaining 9 candidates on a MOC's slate (not yet appointed/directly charged to a MOC) are then placed in the National Pool where the SA has the ability to pick and choose to round out the incoming class. Hope that helps.
 
You can almost hear the crickets...From the post above, hopefully the MOCs will be making their calls today?
 
Still waiting, checking for Portal updates every day. Does anybody know approx. how many appointments the AFA still has left to give out at this point? Historically speaking.
 
Yes it has gotten very quiet. We are still waiting as well. Does anyone know if they have told anyone they are not getting in yet or do they wait till the end to just send them all out at the same time?
