Yeah, I have. Even more, I'm in probably the farthest spot from west point in the contiguous US: San Diego

Are the letters between West Point & Annapolis written differently?

I heard they were but both basically guarenteed appointment when a nomination was obtained.

How did you learn you are getting one if you didn't receive a letter yet? And why by the 19th? I'm just trying to understand if my daughter stll has a chance of getting one. Thanks!

I recieved a call from my field force officer last night, and she informed me that I had an LOA coming in the mail. She said that it would be arriving next monday, the 19th. My understanding is that the window for LOA's is still open, although many have already been sent out. There is still a chance though!

Hey! Congrats on receiving an LOA! I'm also a female I was wondering what you did to train for the pull ups? They are not my strong suit :/

I'm not a female, but the idea of performing pullups is all based on practice, practice, practice!

If anyone is lacking in the muscles needed to perform a full pullup, then start off with assisted pullups. This can be done with a friend holding your legs or by hanging your feet on a chair and making your body slightly lighter.

I was only able to do 3 when I first started, and once I bought a pullup bar and kept practicing I was able to do over 10 easily. It's all constant practice!

Hey! Congrats on receiving an LOA! I'm also a female I was wondering what you did to train for the pull ups? They are not my strong suit :/

Thanks! To improve my pull-ups, I bought a pull-up bar that went on top of a door and would do as many pull-ups as I could possibly do, wait about a minute, and then would do as many as I could again (I did that pattern for around five sets when I started out). If you do that every other day for a while, you'll see your strength go up incredibly quickly!

I am also a girl and I will definitely do that to train! I also received an LOA, but I only could do 2 pull-ups :(

I just received a call and an email from my Military Academy Admissions Representative that I got an LoA, and that it's on its way in the mail!
