Email from my OSO. It's not that bad though. I made the final decision to go to NAPS. When one door closes to become a Marine officer, another opens.
I keep checking online and the status hasn't changed. I got a call from a local recruiter I talked to a few times and he said that he received an email with all the scholarship recipients and my name wasn't there so he offered to talk about other paths to a commission.
I thought it was kind of strange to hear in that way when nothing else is updated so I emailed the XO I was working with on the scholarship app and he said the results were not out yet and that he'd email me. I kind of gave up hope after the phone call but not exactly sure what's going on now...
Anyone have any thing similar happen?

Even though it's too early to make a decision about another path, you should at least prepare on your own as though you won't get the scholarship. Check out being a college programmer (and maybe getting a 2 or 3 year scholarship) and also PLC.
I haven't heard a thing one way or the other. Is that good or bad? It seems like they could do a better job of getting notifications out so that we all hear at the same time.
Wow! I literally burst in excitement for your DS and family. Congratulations! That is truly wonderful and I'm sure he's going to excel in NROTC. Again, congratulations!I received a very excited call from my DS this evening. His scholarship coordinator, or XO, called him this evening and told him he was one of three in our state who was selected to receive the NROTC MO scholarship. The XO did not know what school yet as those selections have not yet been completed. But since our DS selected an in state school as his first choice the XO expects that will probably be where it is for. We are very excited for him to have this opportunity and to see that hard work, commitment and determination all reap rewards. Good luck to everyone as the news rolls out. His status online is not yet updated.
