I finished all of my academic materials by December 7th, my CFA on the 14th, and got my nominations on the 17th and 18th (one was principal but I don’t know if this sped up the process). My medical was entered as qualified into the USNA system on January 9th. I received an offer of appointment on February 6th. Hope this helps!

DS completed application in mid december, nominations received in Oct, Nov and Feb. college grades sent in December. appointment received Feb 6

Our son was medically qualified 10 Sept., CFA passed 3rd week Sept. and application closed pending review since 1 Oct. Nominations arrived 16, 17 and 18 December via portal updates (letters and emails came later). Appointment came from Senator's office via phone call January 14 (but from Senator that was not the one that awarded him principal).

Mine finished his application in July or August, but I don't think the date of application completion really matters. When did your congressman and/or senators get their nominations in? Ours only just submitted them Jan 29-30, so my understanding is no one from our area without a presidential nom could have received an offer before then. Then, if they submitted a competitive slate, they will likely have to wait until all applicants on the slate complete their applications (the deadline for finishing applications was end of Jan) so they can rank them against each other, even if they turned in their slate months before. Once all applications are in, it takes time to go through each congressman's slate. Our BGO suggested they go through the ones with a primary nominee first and then move on to the competitive slates.

Last year (Class of 2023) had 112 males and 67 females decline their Offers of Appointment. As @Heatherg21 so aptly noted, the 3 declines on this list so far, have accepted offers to go to USAFA.

It's still a win, for the military. Personally, I would rather do I-Day at 3 feet above sea level. I went for a run out in Colorado once. Thought I was having a stroke. :biggrin:

My DS went temporarily blind in his right eye during the summer last year from the altitude. He's fine now but it's real!
