Does anybody know what MOC does NOT do interviews? The ones that give out nominations based on the application packet? Maybe we're waiting so long for Senator Padilla's notification but he doesn't even do interviews.

Neither IL Senators interview & our specific Congressperson hasn’t interviewed in the past. It looks like they may still be sans interview. Just waiting over here 💀. Thankfully was super busy w/ Eagle Scout ceremony planning & now getting all of the other applications finished up…..

He contacted their office and was given a time on 12-2. They allowed him to Zoom because he is Georgia (sponsored prep for West Point). Good luck!

Thank you. DD did call their office on Monday and the staff said that she would send her an email. As of today she still has received it. I will ask DD to reply to the original email and ask for an interview time.

Hi CheerMom, My daughter has an afternoon interview. She was able to schedule it. That is also the day our Congresswoman has interviews, but we called and may get accommodations for a Zoom call. I wish they offered multiple days for these things.

That’s good. My daughter’s friend was able to get an interview with her congressman in the morning and the other one with Sen Butler in late afternoon. Since the interview is 30 mins long, she should have enough time to drive between Stockton and SF. Our congresswoman hasn’t even accepted the nomination application yet :-( . We are in Sacramento.

Do you mind if I ask what district you live in? I think our Congressperson interviews, but I'm not 100% sure. Duckworth's application clearly stated no interviews, but Durbin didn't address it in the packet. I'm always interested in learning from those that have gone before us!

Sure! We are in IL-09. It’s a new district - we were w/ Casten before & his team conducted interviews. But it looks like Schakowsky hasn’t in the past. When Durbin nominated our oldest, there weren’t any interviews. Good luck 🍀!

Wishing your daughter Good Luck! We are actually flying from SoCal to SF that morning and will do the Zoom with our Congresswoman later in the afternoon. On the other hand, I just spoke with Senator Padilla's office, and they are still reviewing applicants, so no interviews just yet.

Hey @bubble - I can tell you last year Senator Padilla's office reached out to my DD on December 7th to schedule her interview on December 8th - so they do interviews. If you are contacted for one it may be the week or two after the Thanksgiving holiday and they may not give you much notice. I believe the year before that Padilla's office did give some noms without interviews according to my deep research and analysis. ;)

Scott’s interviews were before Rubio so I’m surprised Rubio’s noms would come first. Fingers crossed! Good luck!
