My DS has letters from both Senators waiting for him at home. I guess we will find out tonight which one gave him a nom. Congratulations on your nomination!!

"Congratulations!!! Did you get a USNA or USMA nom from IL62? DS hasn't been notified yet either, just the nom in his portal. Hoping the letter today sheds some light on it."

I just re-read your post and saw that you said USNA portal. Congratulations 🎉

My DS too - Gillibrand week of Nov 13th & Schumer week of Nov 27th. No feedback yet.

I was all talk & couldn’t control myself while at the swim meet today (for 4 hours 😵‍💫) - once I saw your post 🤪. I resurrected my USPS account & saw DS had one letter coming. Mail finally arrived at 6pm & he was pleasantly surprised to see another nom - from Senator Durbin (USMMA). He was pretty happy! Not sure if he’ll get a communication from Senator Duckworth (maybe we’ll find out next week?) but he’s thrilled - “I’ll take 2/3”. It was a pleasant surprise!

Lol, this cracks me up! Congratulations to your son, that's fantastic!!!! We haven't had a chance to get the mail yet today. It will be a few hours before my DS knows. He is worried the nom in his portal is a glitch and he won't really believe it until he sees the letter. Lol

Ok, he just opened them....He opened Sen. Duckworth's letter first and it was a rejection. We assumed his nom was from her because it says IL62, which is usually the junior senator. Then he opened Sen. Durbin's letter and the first word was congratulations! Lol, he was very thankful!!

So for all of you Illinois candidates, IL62 in the West Point portal means you have a nomination from Dick Durbin.

I got an email from Richard Moxley at Budd’s office on Thursday saying that nominations should be submitted by the end of this week… nothing further heard from them.

NC-14 nominations went into USMA and USAFA portals on Thursday as well, unsure about Navy or MMA. Congressman Jackson made calls to nominees last night.

Budd at least notified those who he nominated last Friday via email.

Still no word from NC-02 about final decisions after interviews.

I received a really nice email informing me that they were not going to give me a nomination because I already have appointments to both academies that I applied to, and they want to include as many people as possible. I wasn't surprised about that at all, but I was surprised that they bothered sending me an email. Hopefully that means that they are making decisions, and you will hear from them soon!

Thank you for posting this. The waiting is hard especially when hoping for a Colorado nomination for USAFA.
 
My son had interviews with two senators and a congressman. He got a nomination from Congressman today and no news from senators. He applied to the West Point and the Naval Academy.
Can he get a nomination to West Point from the congressman and another one for the Naval Academy from the Senator?
He was told during one of his interviews with the Senator that he should let them know if he gets a nomination from another source.
He has LOA from the West Point but not one from the Naval Academy.
I am hoping that he can get a nomination for both schools so he has an option to choose.

Until your son has an appointment he should keep and ask for as many nominations as possible. The senator should know that a nomination is no guarantee for an appointment ---- your son will compete all three slates (2 senator and 1 representative).

My son is in the same situation -- West Point LOA + nomination (expecting an appointment soon) but Naval Academy pending with one nomination only -- still waiting for 2 senators

Each MOC handles nominations as they wish. So, there is no way this board can accurately generalize whether your son can receive nominations to multiple SAs. It is certainly possible in theory and even common in many states and/or Congressional Districts. On the other hand, in some highly competitive Districts, a candidate might be limited to a single nomination to a single service academy. The fact that one of your son's Senators asked for the information about other nominations may not bode well that he can count on multiple nominations and to multiple SAs. Hopefully, his nomination from his Congressman is to WP where he has a LOA since, if he is triple qualified there, he will be assured of at least one offer of appointment. And, fingers crossed a nomination to USNA will follow soon!
