Woohoo! I just received notice from HQ AFROTC that I have been offered a Type 1 AFROTC scholarship!! I am so excited and want to thank all of you guys and gals on SAF who answered my questions and provided some incredible advice on the process.

Thanks all!
Congrats, what’s your top choice of schools ?
I am applying ED Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science. If I do not get accepted by them, I am applying RD to Columbia, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, and Rutgers.
🥳 congrats, got a re-board email here 😞
Good luck! It's out of your hands now so don't worry about it. I like to think that whatever happens happens for the best.

Some great schools and I wish you well. DS just got awarded Type 2-tech degree with very similar stats. He's applying to Colorado, Washington, WPI and RPI for Chemical Engineering. He's still holding out for a USAFA appointment.

Wait, you're applying ED and have app in at USAFA and USNA? Will you pull your SA apps if you get ED at CM?

I was on the November board. My interview was on the Tuesday the week before. The recruiting officer at the det told me my package would most likely make the November board. I received the scholarship offer literally yesterday.

Got it. Son had an interview this week Tuesday so was not able to make the November boards. Was hoping to hear something from the December boards before the holidays.
