Air Force - Army Week

...hm...does that make me a wanna-be, wanna-be helo pilot? :redface::wink:

Let's just say that AF and Army rotary wing aviation tend to do different but complementary things.

Yeah...Army aviation flies all over the battlefield....and AF rotary wing sits on the ramp and watches them do it!

i remember that formation a couple years back at Annapolis. the mids loved it cause they were laughing at how "off" the drop was. in their opinion, if you were going to drop it, at least drop it where they could see what you wrote.

and i do believe army got shut out that year. i stopped watching and enjoyed the stadium after about the first quarter.

Army cornerback calls Air Force arrogant

Service-academy rivals to square off Saturday at Michie

WEST POINT — Richard King doesn't mince words when asked about his service academy rivals at Air Force.

King, an Army senior cornerback, hates the flyboys.

"Air Force is by far the team I probably most dislike," King said. "Out of all the teams I've ever played, they talked the most trash and I felt the most disrespected."

Army and Navy is a football rivalry built on respect and intensity, King said.

In contrast, Air Force isn't afraid to boast it's better than Army, King said.

"I feel like they have an arrogance about them," King said.

Maybe Air Force has earned it. The Falcons have won 19 of the last 21 meetings, including 35-7 last season.

We expect nothing less out of the Clown College...I mean Air Force Academy

Probably very true. He has never played Notre Dame. And he will. And he will change his mind.

I am not sure Notre Dame will be in a position to show much disrespect this year.

Luigi - that is all fluff ....
This is the coolest part of the whole article:

The academies are fighting the same battles. The coaches have grown closer. Army's Rich Ellerson said he and Air Force's Troy Calhoun exchanged text messages. They will take a trip together overseas to visit troops in February 2011 with Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo.
Good for them.

So, the biggest question of all:

WHERE IS IT ON MY TV SCHEDULE???

I'm still trying to recover from last Sunday night's drubbing in New Orleans, and will definitely need to watch an AF victory!

And for those of you staying in Colorado, please do check out the Falcon Open in the East Gym. Cheer on your favorite fencer(s) there while AF beats Army! (It's both days, and it's free.)

it's on CBS College here.

and my favorite part of the arrticle,

Maybe Air Force has earned it. The Falcons have won 19 of the last 21 meetings, including 35-7 last season.

lol, that was embarrassing. The cage was a bunch of lanudry carts put together.

Later,

Brian

Warning: if perfect pitch is your thing, then you will want to plug your ears! :shake:

hmmm... the lyrics I always heard growing up were:

"We don't play Notre Dame,
We don't play Penn Sta-a-a-ate.
We just play Holy Cross (Holy Cross!),
cause that's the easy Army way!"

I'm sure that was hilarious at Chair Force U. You're about the 15th person to post those lyrics on the forums.

Gotta steal Navy's songs now? Well, if you don't HAVE tradition, I guess you can always take from someone who does! :thumb:
