So I'm currently ending my 1st year of college which would make me an e2 if I enlisted. Should I stay in college 1 more year to get auto e3? Or should I just go and start making money?

Depending on the career-field you want, I'd suggest finishing out 3 more with ROTC and going in as an O-1.

Can't I am in ROTC rn and they dqd me for vision waiver is also denied currently in rebuttal process which they told me there is only a slim chance.

Are you positive that you can enlist after being DQ'd from ROTC? The general medical standards are the same for officer and enlisted...

As far as E-3 vs. E-2, go in with the most rank you can. You'll be eligible earlier for E-4, which means you can test earlier for E-5, which means you can test earlier for E-6, etc. etc.

There are also AFSC-specific medical requirements. Both ops and SFS require "normal vision".

Really nail down all your intel about switching to enlisted before you go jumping out of college. It sounds like you are operating on some concerningly bad information about your odds on the enlisted side.

Go in now and you’ll be an E-3 in a year anyway.
The better option would be to enlist for 6. You get promoted to E-3 after Tech School rather than waiting 16 months TIS. I'd say the bulk of enlistees go this route, but I don't have the numbers in front of me.

Talked to a recruiter and he told me ROTC does not use the same dqs as enlisted and that he has put multiple people through in my same dqs and also I have no plans of ever doing 6 years everyone has warned me not to.

Yeah, six years isn’t nearly enough. I did twenty six until they kicked me out.

Yes they do. All services use the same medical standards. It's up to the component to pursue a waiver or not.

With that approach, make sure you get everything you want in writing on your enlistment contract before you sign.

Perhaps things will work out for you. Good luck and enjoy BMT.

You'll fit right into Security Forces.
...and then you might do the same thing every day for a while (like checking IDs at the gate).

Slow your roll, and make sure you have a good plan that is sanity checked by multiple knowledgeable people.
