I understand that our local/assigned ALOs no longer conduct the evaluator interviews.
My question: do our assigned ALOs even do any sort of evaluation on us that they send to USAFA?
No one else contacted her than the "Liaison Officer" listed in her app.
By the way, candidates shouldn’t let their guard down just because it’s a Skype interview. Dress as you would if you were meeting in person. Take a few minutes to set up the computer in a quiet, undisturbed place, and check the mike and speakers. Have a glass of water handy. And if it makes you more comfortable, even banish your folks from the house to minimize distractions (or the potential of it).
VERY true!
The interviews I did last cycle averaged about 90 minutes; some were longer, some shorter. ALL are very comprehensive.

The evaluators have been told not to contact the candidate prior to their status changing on the "ALOWEB" which is maintained by USAFA. While your candidate may have finished all their paperwork, until the system has it all accepted, correlated, etc...etc...it won't change the status. Once the status changes, I'd expect the ALO evaluator to make contact.DS is still waiting to be contacted by his evaluator. Should he reach out at all or just wait? His application is complete other than the evaluation.
I don't know any ALO that likes the current system. Our latest recruit had his interview via skype. Our oldest had his interview via local ALO. Let's just say the local interview had better results
