This is the final stretch, IMHO I highly doubt AOs are making any character judgments if a viable candidate checks in. If they have offers from other institutions that are asking (out of courtesy) to make a decision as soon as possible, I don't think a check is breaking unwritten rules. In most of the Admissions briefs DS participated in, they were encouraged to reach out to AO with questions. I do, however, think that it is fruitless and may add stress when no answers are given. Why are you contacting Admissions Office to check on status... its pretty clear on the website that they will try to let everyone know by April 15...thats almost two weeks away. Frankly, if I was working Admissions, I wouldn't be thinking real highly of those calling or emailing to ask the status.
i know we are in the final stretch, but would covid-19 be the most significant reason why they are prolonging it till the very end maybe? This is the final stretch, IMHO I highly doubt AOs are making any character judgments if a viable candidate checks in. @usna2024maybeormaybenot You may find it helpful to take a look at last year's DIY appointment thread.i know we are in the final stretch, but would covid-19 be the most significant reason why its taking so long?

.. Yes, the Admissions Officers frequently invite questions,..that's their job. That said, they also ask BGO's to help shield them from the routine barrage. In speaking with one of the Admissions Officers last year, he told me that he receives hundreds of emails a day, some worthy of his time, and others not so much. I can't tell you if an AO makes personal judgments or lets them impact their actions, but they are human. I would recommend that any Candidate respect their time-- By all means, ask your questions, but make sure the answer isn't already available on the Admissions website.. (And the April 15 "deadline" is pretty clear !)In most of the Admissions briefs DS participated in, they were encouraged to reach out to AO with questions.
- Perhaps some impact, but from my perspective (and I have been watching this drama far longer than I have been active on this Forum), this year is no different than the past. Offers are still creeping out , and will be until April 15 (and perhaps a little longer with Wait List).i know we are in the final stretch, but would covid-19 be the most significant reason why they are prolonging it till the very end maybe?
A friend of mine just got an appointment today. Don’t give up the ship!
same here. USAFA prep (Falcon Scholar)...waiting on USNAI'm still waiting to hear, but I was accepted to the USAFA Prep Program and I have to respond by April 15th, so I hope the USNA gets back to me in the next week so I can weigh my decision...
Congrats! Just out of curiosity, if you got accepted to USNA or NAPS, would you take it over the USAFA?same here. USAFA prep (Falcon Scholar)...waiting on USNA
Make it a third! I have the Falcon Scholarship but I'm holding out for USNA as it is my first choice. It's nice to know we have this as an option though.same here. USAFA prep (Falcon Scholar)...waiting on USNA

Have your DS or DD read David Goggins book Cant Hurt Me. It is a serious motivator what what lies ahead for themGuys, hang in there! I'm a reapplicant, so I've been here before. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but be prepared to go for another ride on this roller coaster. In the meantime, watch some Goggins!
I am from CA so I have decided on Northwestern Prep. Their success statistics are amazing with Foundation Scholars.which prep school are you looking into? Daisy, not sure yet. Need all the cards on the table.
