Understand that each state is not guaranteed to fill this many seats (this was the Wisconsin lawsuit) and some will get more than this number of seats based on how well applicants do off the national wait list. The goal for the academy is to work towards this distribution as they make appointment offers BEFORE 1 APRIL. After this date, we transition to the National Wait List where you sit as a member of the HOLD status club. In my opinion, this is the most exciting phase because it really becomes a meritocracy and your rank is your rank. The cut line is the cut line. BOOM! (Sorry, I dig seeing students put in the effort and then we watch to see if it was good enough to achieve the goal).
