Anyone from NJ?

same here, my congressman in notorious for making his selections realllllly late.I havnt heard from any nom sources yet. Oh well. I hope i get to come back from my CVW to a nom waiting for me at home!
 
Same here, I haven't heard anything from either senators or congressman. Though when I had interviewed with Menendez's people, they told me they would try to have the noms out around christmas.... lol.

Might be wrong or speaking out of turn. LY for the AFA they only updated their on-line files every Monday and Thursday, so if that has remained the same, you probably will see it on line sometime next week, and may find out from there first. On line updating may occur before the snail mail to you. Actually I think I have seen more postings saying it says I have it, but I haven't heard from the MOC than the MOC says I have it, but I haven't seen it on line

For NC, the letters always came after the on line update for the AFA.

And yes, if the on line says it is so, than it is so. Butterfield didn't send his letter for months after it being on line.
 
Ahhh! Enough with the waiting already! lol You'd think the do this to make us die of anticipation? The senators should of been done already... I'm sure they are in the mail
 
My nomination from Rep. LoBiondo just came in the mail about 1/2 an hour ago.
 
nomination goof up??

A few days ago, my son received a call from our congressman, and a subsequent letter nominating him. Today (Sunday) one of the NJ US Senators called the house to give him a sentate nomination. My husband told him that he already recieved a nomination and to give it to another deserving young man or woman. Does this hurt my son's chances??? Could turning down a nomination insult the Senator or hurt his chances for an appointment? Thanks for any info.

However, I don't know if your DH's generous offer was accepted. They have a slate that is given to the SA. His name was on it. I am not sure that they would go back and re-tally for a new candidate, esp. since the deadline is next week. Imagine if 3 kids did that, it would be alot of work for them. The phone call was a courtesy call, form a Senator to a constituent.

All you need is one nom, but 2 doesn't hurt.:wink:
 
I need to add that we come from a really competative district and state. I think that is why my husband said that, but also why I am nervous that he messed things up for him.

Im just applying to USNA and yeah, Tristan's a good friend of mine, and I didn't even realize he was on here until yesterday when I saw his post lol. Where are you applying to?

Sweet, we go to the same youth group, btw where were you tonight Tristan. Are you one of the petrella boys? I know they are applying to usna. I applied to usna usma usafa, but not interested in usna anymore. So it's usafa and usma now
