I wonder if Senator Brown and Voinovichs in Ohio have finished their interviews and given any nominations... DS had interviews with both offices

I don't believe that they are done with the interview process for another two weekends. Then they will notify. We are waiting as well.

I know Voinovich still has interviews tomorrow at least. I'm pretty sure that last year they waited until both were done and talked with each other to maximize their lists and make sure they didn't duplicate noms to same Academy.

I'm almost positive that they still have 2 more weekends of interviews. And they do talk to each other to make sure that they don't both give a kid nominations.

How do you know that they talk to each other so that thye do not duplicate nominations? Just curious. What part of Ohio are you from?

They informed me that they would talk to eachother to ensure that the same candidate would not get a nomination to the same academy from both senators, in order to nominate the most candidates possible.

Starting with the election of Voinovich and DeWine and continuing to as recently as last spring, Ohio's senators have worked very closely to ensure that they maximized the number of candidates who would receive noms to the SA's. It works to the advantage of the candidates. They also have a very commendable success rate as measured by the number of their noms who get offers of appointments. Overall, you will find Ohio to be very competitive for its size and shrinking number of MOC's. Northeast Ohio produced 13 members for 2014, plus at least one prepper. Keep working on being the best candidate you can be. Best wishes!

Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of that! Makes much more sense to me to do it that way and maximize the nominations given. Does anyone know when they have the last meeting before notifying the potential candidates? Also, does anyone know if they notify you either way (whether you get a nomination or not)?
Thanks

Yes, they do notify you either way. Also, someone who interviewed for Voinovich this weekend was told they should hear something by first or second week in December.
