Anything else I am missing, I have finished everything and this long journey of an application is coming to an end. How long does it normally take to hear back about nominations, in particular from Toomey.

Toomey & Casey notified DS by Christmas both tries.
 
How’re you doing with Plan B, C, D...?

Are you spending quality time with your family and friends. Enjoying senior year (as much as the circumstances allow)? Should you win offer of appointment, you’ll be glad you slowed to smell the roses while you could.
 
I would prepare for the interview... look up potential questions... write out your answers. Study them... do a mock interview with someone trusted that will be honest with you about how you answer... practice not using filler words... ummms, uhhh, ‘like’, ‘you know’...

Know your plan B, C... get comfortable with it... and have patience... especially if you are one that ends up waiting for a long time to hear back from the service academies... it can be challenging as you begin to see others getting their appointments and nominations... Good luck... stay positive

One of the first letters we got from our son during plebe summer stated how he wished he had spent more time with us and his sister prior to leaving. Stay healthy, keep your grades up.
 
Just did my interview and definitely have " who is your role model or who as a leader you look up to ready" my friend who is applying to navel academy and I both got the same questions and he warned me before. I had my answer ready but did more research for details about 40 mintues before. Btw answer was "Marina Raskova" probably won't work for most people as she's not american and you have to know why she awesome to have a good answer.

Really? I wish I had that one. It really tells you what kind of leader a person looks up to
 
DO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID! alcohol, girls, cars, social media, grades, etc. There are a million pitfalls. Plus, run and workout.
