AFROTC basically says "Tell us where you want to use your scholarship.'

You make a list in your application. Can include up to 7 schools, listed in your order of preference.

If/when you receive a scholarship offer, you have to indicate what school you are accepting it for. However, you can request to transfer the scholarship to another school on your list, or even a school not on your list, provided you got accepted to said school.

I've never been through this before, but my understanding is the Army will approve transfer requests provided there are still scholarship spots remaining at the transfer school.

The email basically said results from the January board will be out "within a week" and then went on the tout the various aspects of that school's ROTC program that make it one of the best in the nation, the kind of support that is offered to ROTC cadets there, etc.

The email does not state directly that DS is receiving a scholarship offer, but the way I read it, it's kind of in between the lines. Note that we have not had contact with this school previously. So, this was initiated by the ROO to make contact with my DS. Then again, I do not want to get hopes too high, as nothing is official until it's official.

Has anyone else received a similar email today? Again, good luck to all. This waiting game is tough.

no, DS received an email 2 weeks ago saying he was "Board Ready" and another on Jan. 30 saying Board results should be released on Friday from ROO at a school on his list but nothing today. Good Luck!

As @disfiguredbob said above, perhaps Feb. 1 based on the timing of past January board results. If not then, shortly thereafter.

I tried to get back into the portal and continue to get an error message. Do they send emails to the kids as well? Is anyone else having trouble logging into their account?

I don't think anyone really knows what's going on at this point. We are all just waiting. Could be later today. Could be tomorrow. Could be next week.

Throw a dart at the calendar or get your Magic 8 Ball out. You have as good a chance as anyone of predicting it correctly.

Website is down right now for everyone, just waiting for it to go back up :).
 
The website is now down for maintenance again. It went from not letting me access it to the same message I received a few days ago.
 
With the use of my portal astrology 🧙‍♂️ I am predicting that since it came back on nearly on the hour, 35 min ago, that maybe we will see something at the hour again, in 25 min? Who knows though, i'm just bored and got nothing better to do than theorize

At this point, I'd guess it comes out tomorrow and if not then, then who knows.
