Man, this thread has been surprisingly quiet. Where are all our third board candidates and families? Anyone see their status change from "Board Ready" to "Boarded" yet?
My sense -- based solely on the lack of chatter here -- is that the volume of new applications for this round may be relatively small vs. the January board. If so, that means the board may wrap up its work within the next day or two.

Was given Ike Skelton ECP scholarship 2nd board, no 3/4yr. Hoping for a 3yr this board. Just got moved to Boarded this morning.

If there isn't as many applicants this board hopefully that bodes well for upgrades. That is how I understand the upgrade process works.

Yep. Wasn’t too interested in the 4 options for the two years of military college before the final two year transfer of my choice. Having spoken to two ROO’s I apparently am competitive for 3yr so I’m hoping! Thanks.

Yes, it really is a long process. Made longer this year by the FAFSA debacle.
But I think we are in the home stretch now, with final board meeting this week and FAFSA starting to process forms.

Keep us posted. Also, they seem to move alphabetically through the candidates. So, if you don't mind sharing the first letter of your last name, that gives everyone some idea of where the board stands in moving through all the candidate files.

Seemed like last board there were quite a few candidates/parents in the fray for scholarships. I'm not sure I've seen more than a handful of current applicants in this thread so far.

I was thinking same thing. Very quiet here compared to board 2.

On the second board thread, there have been 860 posts and 78,000 views! This thread pales in comparison.
My DS was the same, turned down the ECP in hopes of a 3 year. He was accepted into some of his top choice 4 year schools so he wasn’t interested in going to a junior college at this point. He had checked in the application that he wasn’t interested in the ECP scholarship but honored he recieved it. Even if he doesn’t get a 3 year offer. Good luck to you!
