Army ROTC results are posted...before you ask...I think this process has turned into an automated, one button and done, so if your status didn't change please contact a ROO and ask them to confirm you didn't get an offer (remember it's Easter weekend) Don't spend the next week checking your status over and over.

In the past I have offered up the service of checking statuses, if you can find my contact information and you have tried every other avenue. I strongly recommend that if you didn't receive an offer or your status hasn't changed and you know what school you plan to attend that you contact the ROO at that school and a) ask them to check your status b) let them know you plan to attend and enroll in their program c)ask about their process for competing for a campus based scholarship.

If you just are having no luck getting a ROO to answer up...email me

Hope that helps...congrats to the winners...to the "future winners" hang in there (because there are no losers in this process).

I'm not sure who the ROO is at DS chosen school. We've spoken to a Cpt, who seems to head up the campus program, but should we be instead contacting the "parent school"? We've never spoken to anyone over there. The Cadre at his chosen school were pretty confident in his packet, but it is what it is (his status has not changed).

TIA.

My kid was awarded 3 Year AD. Thanks for posting. Normally, he receives and email telling him of an update to the portal. Didn't this time.

Same thing here. I assume that means the system is still working things out don't get discouraged until it says not selected.

Don't want to be Debbie Downer but my understanding from posting prior years is that if you are not selected your portal simply doesn't change, you stay boarded. It won't say not selected.

Thanks for the clarification. Congrats to all the winners ;):)

You probably didn’t get an offer. Did you contact the ROO at the school you plan to attend?

So now that the results are out, contact them again to see if they have some insight.

I called after everybody else got notified early April and he said that I wasn't chosen for scholarship but that there were college level ones left. He said hang tight and he'll get back to me since they were choosing college level scholarships the next week. I waited and he called me last Tuesday (04/24/18) and he said there weren't any college level scholarships left but I was next on the list, so he went ahead and asked the brigade if there were any national scholarships left and they said yes and NOW I HAVE A 3year AD. I'm attending University of Alaska Fairbanks!

CONTACT YOUR ROO thats my advise

From my own experience with my time in the service and having two sons Active Duty Army, it becomes clear that the military is not always the most organized and when it comes to some ROTC battalions the cadre is stretched thin and can't always be proactive and advocate for every applicant. Not a knock on these folks at all, just an observation that they have to juggle many things at one time.

One thing I learned early, as well as both my sons, you are always your own best advocate. This is why I am always so happy to read something like what happened to you. You kept in contact, kept your name in front of the battalion cadre, showed your desire, and it paid off in a big way. Never forget this lesson, during your time in the Army there will be many opportunities, sometimes all you need to do is ask.

Congratulations on your scholarship and have a great time in Alaska.

My DD just received a 3 year AD after reaching out as well. It happened specifically because of the advice we received from this board to reach out and put yourself on their radar. We never would have known to reach out and thank God we did. Jcleppe you couldn't have said it more perfect. I think my DD has seen more than ever with this experience that being your own best advocate is key. Once again, thanks so much to all of you!
