Dropped off DS at University of Alabama yesterday,
he's rooming with 3 other AROTC freshman - 3 very sharp kids, all 30+ ACT's.
Just got a text message, they went running at 5 this morning, getting ready for PT Test on Tuesday.
UA, total of 16 scholarship students for this yr.
((2 are 3AD's) up from 12 total scholarship students last yr.)
An additional 16 cadets who applied for but did not get scholarships are also there for the early AROTC orientation.
This crew of 32 will be issued uniforms etc., during orientation.
An additional 30 or so students are signed up for Freshman Military Science,
these students have not contacted AROTC about their intentions,
AROTC will observe these walk-on's to evaluate their level of commitment before issuing uniforms etc.
