Basic Cadet Summer

I am an incoming basic cadet, and wondering what the full summer schedule will look like. I know I day is June 28th, and that kicks off BCT, but does anyone know the dates of when BCT ends, A-day, and when the academic school year starts? Also, what do cadets do, and is there time to go anywhere, in the "transition period" between BCT and the academic year? Thanks a lot.

What do cadets do in the transition period?: A lot of random admin stuff and training requirements for the academic year.

Is there time to go anywhere?: If that place is within the Cadet Area, yes, if not C4Cs are not allowed to leave USAFA until Parent's Weekend.

Basic cadets (and then doolies after Aday) are not allowed to leave base (except for scheduled, supervised events like doolies day out) until after parents weekend (labor day). There will be some transition days after BCT ends for you to move to your new room, attend mandatory briefings, etc.

After parents weekend doolies will have a limited number of day and overnight passes and can use those to go to sponsor family, etc.
