Hello!

I was just wondering how long it has typically taken to go from notification of appointment to receiving the BFE? I accepted my appointment around two weeks ago and have since been trying to avoid checking the mail almost as frequently as I checked my portal prior to receiving my offer (like every ten minutes haha).

I'm content with being patient, but I just thought I'd take the pulse of the community before getting too comfortable.

📬 Sign up for informed delivery via USPS. That way, you will know when it’s arriving. Often they don’t fit in mailboxes, so check doorways and shrubs (on a windy 🌬 day)!!

Informed delivery also alerts your parents to your WELL-ANTICIPATED letter during plebe summer!!

Seriously, IMO it’s a good program bc if mail is missing, you know.
 
Don't sweat it. You're in! In 2020, some Plebes didn't get them til they after I-day. It's a formality.
 
DS in 2021 got his appointment notifications for USNA and the official BFE came within a few weeks. USAFA took two months after appointment notification before the BFE arrived. One of the reasons he chose USNA (joking).
 
Mine took exactly 2 weeks (I live overseas though). I would imagine yours should come within a week or so

I resemble that remark! @justdoit19 is referring to my DS BFE. Didn’t show up in informed delivery (ironically neither did two of three nomination letters, crazy, right?) so we weren’t looking for it.
We don’t use the front door. I found it when filling a bird feeder. Three feet off the front porch soggy and stuck in a shrub post a storm. Packaging protected it. Great moment for him to receive it.
 
BFE for DS just delivered 2 weeks to the day after fully qualified offer showed up on the portal. Showed up on USPS informed delivery as a package.

Big news is your appointment. Congrats on that. Don’t discount NAPS as it is a great launching pad for MIDN who can lead from within on the Yard. Many our son respects are priors and or NAPS and his roomies are prior applicants from big name colleges. You all bring something to the table. Congrats.

Thank you! Didn’t mean to sound bummed about NAPS, I’m enlisted right now 2 years out of HS so I am glad to go to NAPS and touch up on my academics. On the BFE front, I’m just not sure if they send NAPS letters with the same frequency as the academy, but who knows.
