My son called yesterday and told me his score is 90. He received an overall E at LDAC, with an E in every eval, only 1 of 2 in his regiment. His cadre ranked him #2, but his eval was full of some extremely glowing praise. He averages about 270 on the APFT. His is first choice is MI, hoping not to get detailed but willing to go Armor if need be. He said that he doesn't know what he wants to put for 2nd or 3rd choice.
My question is with that score will he get MI and if you think he will have to detail. He is not worried about AD with his score.
He also mentioned that their PMS said the average score in their Brigade was in the low 60's.
So I was talking to a completion Cadet who for whatever reason couldn't commission last year, but went through the accessions counseling. He received a LAMS of 72 last accessions cycle. That would have landed him below the AD cutoff. When he went through the counseling this cycle (with the same stats), he received a 78. Anyone able to take an educated guess as to what this means for this year group?
The new accessions brief is now online.

Interesting, good to see it on digits.
I knew MS was hard to branch, but it's literally right behind IN for slot allocations (if I read it right...cell phone...small screen).

Branch remaining active duty Cadets by the DABM considering all branch preferences and any ADSOs.
No Top/Bottom half of active duty OML – DABM distributes quality.
If Cadet executes a Branch for ADSO contract for 1st two branch preferences and receives one of those branches as their Basic branch the Cadet will be charged the ADSO (Not including Top 10%).
Foud out today I got about an 81. More than willing to share GPA/stats over PM for those who are trying to get a feel for where they'll land.

Has his PMS counseled him on branching yet? The new accessions PowerPoint has the anticipated fill rates for this new branching system.
As far as the brigade average, that doesn't really seem right. That would be a very, very poor average if it were the case.
Could be he was going off old information? The LAMS sheet my PMS handed me for my counseling was significantly lower than what my score was in CCIMS. It had been printed off before some portion of the score had been added.
