Father of 2021 Firstie and now have a DD who re-applied after getting waitlisted last year. All of the app is complete and checked off except for the medical since early Feb. She has improved on all aspects of her application so we are keeping fingers crossed that will push her over the line this cycle. There hasn't been any action. I had heard that the medical exam was good for 2 years, but I'm wondering if that will be the case with COVID. I told her to connect with admissions to check. From what I remember 4 years ago is that it starts with admissions. Any other re-applicants having the same issue/question? Hoping DODMERB will comment. Thanks all!

See if this helps - I posted this summary last month on the re-applicant thread:

Lesson learned from my DS and passing this on to all reapplicants for this and future years: If your medical examination status still shows as "Not Received" on your portal, be sure to check your DODMERB account for requests to complete two short questionnaires - one general, one COVID (as well as any other potential items that may pertain to you individually).

DS was puzzled over the last two months as the items on his application portal were submitted and checked off, but medical never flipped to "received" - which he thought would happen automatically. He emailed his AO, who basically told DS that USNA would request his medical if he were competitive. After a few weeks, DS decided to check his DODMERB account (surprisingly, AO did not suggest this) and saw a request for him to complete the two questionnaires. Turns out that he had received an email from DODMERB last fall on this, but he missed it.

The questionnaires are simple and do not require an office visit etc., so DS completed and submitted them to DODMERB, who promptly cleared his status as qualified for USNA. Be sure to do this promptly if you haven't done so already - and good luck to all!

definitely agree with @BobPar on the two questionnaires- it took me only a few seconds for me to fill out both and to send to my DODMERB contact- from there they should update and send your medical status to the academy

Yep, and make sure you do the form for ALL entities you are applying to! E.g., mine had done it once for NROTC application and did not realize he needed a second copy of the forms for USNA application.

I’ll be a college reapplicant this upcoming cycle for the Class of 2026 and know DODMERB is good for 2 years unless there is a change in info etc. Best of luck to her as I know the feeling!! more likely than not going to receive the TWE soon but who knows maybe I’ll be surprised with an invitation to attend NAPS. Didn’t receive a congressional nom although my interview was strong... and didn’t pass the CFA due to lack of prep on my behalf.
