Disqualification for Medication

I am currently applying for the USNA. I filled out my DoDMERB yesterday and I am pretty worried that I am going to get disqualified for a medication I take. I take Sertraline which is typically an antidepressant, but I am prescribed it for an off-label use. I was diagnosed 6 years ago under R41.89 as having "cognitive rigidity." They prescribed Sertraline to make me more agreeable. I still take it, but could easily titrate off of the medicine as my doctor believes the issues that were originally identified as cognitive rigidity were actually products of over-maturity when I was young. I know that DoDMERB says you need to have not taken antidepressants for 12 months. Am I still going to get disqualified if it is an off label use? I am worried this could be the only thing holding me back from my dream of being a Midshipman as I am qualified for everything else. Any thoughts?

Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" Read paragraph #18.

As stated many times all over these Forums...we don't DQ for meds...we DQ for the conditions ... when appropriate...where meds are prescribed as treatment...of said conditions:wiggle:
