I recently found out that I have been waitlisted for the CGAS program. I understand that decisions for the waitlist may be available after May 1st. This normally would not be a problem, except that I have an enlistment contract with a ship date of April 29th.
I understand that I will most likely not get off of the waitlist, but if for some reason I do get pulled, how will this work with my military contract?

I think, I say again, I think, if you enlistment contract is with the USCG, that you could be pulled from basic to attend CGAS. I base this on the fact that there have been enlistees pulled from basic to go to OCS (because they applied to both simultaneously). This situation is not the same, but is similar. I suspect it could be worked out with serious work on your part. However, if your enlistment is with another branch I just don't know.
