1400/31. He also has a slew of leadership plus sports. His first choice is USAFA followed very closely by USMA.Congrats to your DS! Do you mind sharing his SAT and/or ACT scores?
Thanks, DD's test scores were not quite that high. She has leadership and sports, but would not describe it as "a slew"! haha!!1400/31. He also has a slew of leadership plus sports. His first choice is USAFA followed very closely by USMA.
USMA said his WCS was basically maxed out for ECs and leadership. He is only a 1-sport non-big 3 athlete, though (not counting Crossfit). AF is also his first choice, but being limited to a type 7 will cause him to consider AROTC a little more. He may decide in the end that TAMU is his first choice absent a SA appointment, but who knows? Thanks, DD's test scores were not quite that high. Hopefully, this will be a lesson in patience and perseverance. She's also applied for AROTC, but AF is her first choice.
Hopefully if Air Force is out, Army will soon follow!AFRTOC came in. Super excited to have won a type 7! Still waiting on Army Rotc (my first choice).
I thought if he gets into one of HSSP tier 1's it would be upgraded? Congrats brother. Im in the same boat as you with USNA and ROTC. Still waiting.I just found out I got awarded the AFROTC Type 2 4 year HSSP Scholarship! Good to know I can actually follow my dreams (provided USAFA or USNA don't work out)
How long after the first board did results come out last year.
Boards came out with results in November for this round. Army 11/20, Air Force 11/20, Navy 11/27. Dates may differ year to year and round to round by ROTCs.
Is that always the case or does it depend on the year? He would be very happy at TAMU but we'll see where he is by the end of the cycle. I'm interested to see what he decides and am glad he already has some great choices.I thought if he gets into one of HSSP tier 1's it would be upgraded? Congrats!AFROTC results out and received a Type 1 Scholarship!
Officially have a plan B if Service Academys don't work out!
Mine has only been boarded so far. No school of intent locked. I am pretty sure we won't be moved to boarded/under consideration unless we don't receive a scholarship from this board. After reading through last year's forum, People had said their status went from boarded/under consideration to boarded with schools of intent locked around Tuesday. Mine has only said boarded since it was changed from Board Ready. Has anyone seen anything different?
Same for DS. Boarded not locked.Mine has only been boarded so far. No school of intent locked. I am pretty sure we won't be moved to boarded/under consideration unless we don't receive a scholarship from this board.
