Hey guys, So I was just wondering, if I am fluent in Arabic, meaning I can speak, understand, and partially read, does that help the strength of my overall application?

Maybe. Maybe not. By far the main focus will be on your total transcript — whether you took your school’s hardest courses and excelled at them. That means primarily STEM and English classes. Other classes such as foreign languages, history and government matter too. But SAs don’t seem particularly enamored with which specific language you take in high school. Certainly SAs would consider certain languages to be strategic — think Chinese, Russian, Arabic — but fluency in any specific language won’t supersede your total academic record, athletics and leadership when it comes to admissions.

FYI "partially read" is not what most military organizations would consider "fluent"
