It my day, it depended on which barber you got. . . one in particular was known for his quality of haircuts. . .but he COULD give a good one. I know, I had one. Once. Any other time, it was a brutal near headshave, and uneven.. . . . . if you ever were next, and let someone go to him instead of yourself, he would remember. . . and those times where you were in a hurry and sat in his chair? Oh, man. . . .

Your haircut will be the least of your worries during INDOC. You will have to keep it short during Plebe year, until recognition, then within Navy regs for the remainder of your time at KP.
